Thank You Christine and Sunita

1st March 2005

Following the Tsunami disaster, Christine and Sunita from Bristol, wanted to do something positive and decided to organise a dinner dance on February 26th.  A common friend Rani, who comes from an area in Sri Lanka that was badly affected, decided with her husband and their friend, to join with Christine and Sunita in organising this fund raising event!”

The group later heard of HELP A POOR CHILD’s “Rescuing The Tsunami Orphans” project and decided to donate a percentage of the proceeds towards HAPC’s project to build a Children’s Village in Chennai, India – another area affected by the Boxing Day Tsunami.  The charity has since received a cheque in the sum of £500 with another £900 donated to an orphanage in Sri Lanka.

The Bristol group are now planning another dinner dance sometime in September especially for HAPC’s Tsunami project. So, keep a look out here for further details.  Naturally, the Charity is very grateful to Christine, Sunita and all those who supported their function.
